Mr. Hypothetical

Would you want "Shallow Hal" disease if it were possible? Although I think my answer to this question changes every day, right now I am leaning more towards the yes side. The answer to this question clearly relates to how much emphasis one person places on their attraction to a girl vs. the amount of attraction the rest of the world feels towards the person they are dating. This is a close call. Although everyone would be cracking jokes at your whale of a girlfriend, I am not sure if it would sting as much if you honestly saw her as a ten. I do agree that every guy is concerned with whether or not his friends think his girlfriend is hot, but there has to be a line at some point. For instance, would you date a dude dressed in drag if the entire world honestly saw her as the most beautiful chick and nobody would never find out? Thoughts?

I thought the word was "her".

This hypothetical should be especially relevant to Mookie as he has apperently suffered from "shallow hal" on at least one memorable occasion.

Very funny...I wasn't fooled into anything. I knew she was fat and ugly. As for the question...there is no way I want Shallow Hal disease. My girl has to pass the Mall Test, meaning that in order for her to be up to snuff you would have to be proud walking around the mall with her. A 300 lb uggo with a great personality will not pass the test. I care what other people think way too much.

Yeah but you would be proud b/c you would think she was smoking hot. I say definitely yes, so long as that freak Tony Robbins can't show up and snap me out of it.

On a similiar note, our friend Stickey seems to have a knack for dating girls who look like the female versions of his friends. It's like his way of being with a seemingly attractive female, while being able to imagine gaying it up with his friends.
