Why aren't there more power arms?

I'm surprised that with all the advancements in training and conditioning over the past 30 or so years, that there really aren't any more pitchers that can throw 100 MPH. In fact, there may even be less now than there were 35 years ago. Just some food for thought.

not buying it for a second. I distinctly remember a time in my early sports watching career, when throwing 92 MPH made a fella a power pitcher. Now if you throw 92, you better hit your spots, have a lot of movement on your fastball and have good secondary stuff, or you are basically throwing BP.
